Blog's Moving.

Well, it was bound to happen some time. I've finally installed kubuntu on my older computer, and it's running as a server. This way I have free reign over the php and everything behind it, and no more pesky Blogger stuff.

The Blog of Joe

I'm credited for a design! :o

Firecrotch.us

The admin of a forum I go to recently created a blog, that he coded himself out of php. Unfortunately, the colour scheme that he previously had hurt my eyes a bit. So, what did I do? Take action!

Why is this important, Joe, you ask? Well, it's the first 3rd party design that I'm being credited for. Also, he has a link to this blog in the footer of his now, and I want it to look like I actually post in this blog every once in a while.

Well, that's about it. I've gotten twitter and started obsessing over it, and expect a sidebar re-haul soon. Maybe.

"Readelicious"- What the Virginian-Pilot did right and wrong.

The Virginian-Pilot introduced their new "redesign" today, titled Readelicious. Here are some things that I have to say about it.

  • First off, Redelicious? What does that even mean? It sounds like some horrible mix between del.icio.us and some web 2.0 "uber l33t" name combining. Movable type is not what I would like to give a web 2.0 name to. In fact, it's one of the hardest news mediums to interact with. And honestly, who reads the editorials? Considering they didn't even add Digg anywhere, 2.0 this isn't. All and all, the name was bad and it was just an advertisement scheme. Nevertheless, here are the things that actually stood out to me and the positives and negatives of each.
  • On a positive note, they did a good job in making Mike Gruss' article more prominent. Most of the time he writes entertaining articles, things I actually care about. Most of the time. Unfortunately, they're still sticking the rest of his article in awkward places. Ah well.
  • Good job not messing with Doonesbury.

Well, that's about it, actually. It wasn't really anything that exciting. This certainly wasn't worth buying the billboard space.

Comedian Brutally Destroys A Table Of Girls (Audio)

This is proof (in the aftermath of the Kramer incident) that you can annihilate people from the stage with the most offensive language, and pull it out with crowd on your side. (NSFW)Freaking awesome. Even after all the censorship (O&A) that's been going on, people can still offend people and it's okay. Warning- very NSFW.

I'm Too Sexy For My Shirt

Yeah. Vote for me 'n stuff. Hopefully soon I'll make a better image that feeds from RSS or whatever so I can post it on this site. Once I finish it (if I even start) I'll put instructions up.

And I'm sexy.
