The admin of a forum I go to recently created a blog, that he coded himself out of php. Unfortunately, the colour scheme that he previously had hurt my eyes a bit. So, what did I do? Take action!

Why is this important, Joe, you ask? Well, it's the first 3rd party design that I'm being credited for. Also, he has a link to this blog in the footer of his now, and I want it to look like I actually post in this blog every once in a while.

Well, that's about it. I've gotten twitter and started obsessing over it, and expect a sidebar re-haul soon. Maybe.

The Virginian-Pilot introduced their new "redesign" today, titled Readelicious. Here are some things that I have to say about it.

First off, Redelicious? What does that even mean? It sounds like some horrible mix between del.icio.us and some web 2.0 "uber l33t" name combining. Movable type is not what I would like to give a web 2.0 name to. In fact, it's one of the hardest news mediums to interact with. And honestly, who reads the editorials? Considering they didn't even add Digg anywhere, 2.0 this isn't. All and all, the name was bad and it was just an advertisement scheme. Nevertheless, here are the things that actually stood out to me and the positives and negatives of each.
On a positive note, they did a good job in making Mike Gruss' article more prominent. Most of the time he writes entertaining articles, things I actually care about. Most of the time. Unfortunately, they're still sticking the rest of his article in awkward places. Ah well.
Good job not messing with Doonesbury.

Well, that's about it, actually. It wasn't really anything that exciting. This certainly wasn't worth buying the billboard space.

I found a small kitten on the side of the road today. It had the cutest little green eyes and button nose. She was brown, the kind of light brown that glistens in the sun when you hold her up to the sky. Unfortunately, she had no tags on, so I put her down again. You could almost see her sad face get sadder as I walked away. I felt extremely bad. An hour later, I couldn't take it. I ran out of my house and picked her up, and walked to every house on the street. After a while, I came across a young kid crying. He looked to be about 5, with a really short haircut and blue overalls. I asked him what was the matter, and he replied, "I lost my kitten, and I think she's dead!" I stood him up and pulled the cute little kitten from my coat pocket. "Now, make sure she gets some I.D. tags, so people can help get her back to you if you ever lose her again." "Thank you, mister!" He replied as he half skipped, half ran back inside his home.

Yes, I know how late I am to the punch. I finally got around to buying Guitar Hero. It might have been expensive for the controller and game, but it was worth it by far. What other game has awesome songs, like "Trogdor" by Strong Bad?

Do you have a flash drive? If so, good. If not, buy one. Quickly. You have not lived until you have gotten applications from http://www.portableapps.com; it really opens up the internet for PCs which don't belong to you. "Pick a PC, any PC" is right. All of their applications run on any XP computer, and most 98s. Unfortunately, they are all .exe files. Sorry Apple users.

Here are some of the applications they have to offer (and the two I currently have on my flash drive):

Sodoku Portable - Wow, I have this running right now. Mmm, Sodoku on the go, and it doesn't require being connected to the internet. Extremely good when you're extremely bored.
Firefox Portable - Firefox 2.0 on a stick. It's Firefox. And it's portable. And it saves your cookies and cashe. ...And it's Firefox.

That's all I have for now. Expect more long, drawn out posts about the awesomeness of these applications.

Anyway, I found a website that's alot better. It's called Bebo. And it's not crappy. It even has this nifty thing that allows you to draw on other people's profiles.

So this is my new blog, eh? Hrm... it seems empty.

Friday, I had a preformance, where I had to be in a play for 2/3 of the school that I go to, which is about 1000 kids. Well, right before it, someone decided that everyone is automaticly Christian and wanted to pray. I simply responded, "I'm an Atheist", even though truthfully, I'm Agnostic. This was followed by two people trying to tell me that I'm a bad person, and one person hitting me. I have never really liked religion, because most of it is a crock of stupidity, and I'm not only refering to Christianity. I just don't believe that one belief system is totally correct, and that worshiping something in general is bad. Remember, people: to them, you're the bad guy. I really should have turned around and hit him back for.... well, let me simply quote Modest Mouse:

I could continue my arguements about religion for a very long time. One of my friends made me promise her I'd read "Matthew", which has 28 passages. I got up to 11 and stopped reading at 11:5;

Only one problem. Why would Jesus or any of his deciphles raise the dead, if they're in heaven and better off, or in hell getting what they deserve?
